Join us for Emergency Preparedness Month with four discussions focusing on emergency preparedness within the DMV region. These discussions begin on Thursday, September 10th and run every Thursday until October 1st at 10:00am. The four discussions will be led my Emergency Preparedness Committee Members who will share how they responded to the life safety issues of the pandemic and civil unrest. Then we have a facilitated discussion with other members to explore other solutions to the challenges we are all experiencing. 

  • Thursday, September 10th: Masks + Social Distancing
  • Thursday, September 17th: Emergency Preparedness Communications 
  • Thursday, September 24th: Past Civil Unrest
  • Thursday, October 1st: Fire Prevention and Drills 

Join us during Fire Prevention Week to discuss Fire Prevention, led by Emergency Preparedness Committee Members David Taylor with Fireline and Michael Piantedosi with Ultra Company. The pandemic impacted the ways in which buildings typically conduct their fire prevention measures. Attend this seminar to learn how buildings are 

  • Preparing to keep tenants safe if a fire occurs in a pandemic
  • Keeping their fire prevention systems updated
  • Managing their alarm systems during low occupancy and civil unrest
  • Protecting their water valves and systems from active protests
