METPAC
The Metropolitan Political Action Committee is a critical component of AOBA’s advocacy program and is vital to the success of the industry’s efforts. Through the generous contributions of AOBA’s member companies, we support the campaigns of industry-friendly candidates and issue campaigns. These activities facilitate relationship building with elected officials by securing the face time necessary to educate them regarding our issues and provide our position on proposed legislation.
As the political landscape in the Washington, DC metropolitan area continues to evolve, the political composition of local government bodies is increasingly determinate of policy outcomes. Effective advocacy on behalf of the industry requires an ongoing emphasis on increasing its political and grassroots presence across the region.
