Support/Register for Covenant House Sleep Out
Please save the date! Registration for AOBA’s Sleep Out will open closer to the event, but we invite you to mark your calendar now as we prepare for another powerful night of solidarity and support.
Join us in raising awareness and funds for youth experiencing homelessness in the Greater Washington region by donating and participating in AOBA’s Sleep Out.
Each year, AOBA members from across the region come together to stand with young people facing homelessness by contributing to Covenant House and/or spending one night sleeping outside. The Sleep Out is designed to reflect, in a small way, the hardship these youth endure — you’ll be outdoors with fellow members, a sleeping bag, and a cardboard box for shelter. The evening begins at 8:00 pm with a group dinner before heading to the site, setting up camp, and bundling up for the night.
Our 2026 fundraising goal is $25,000, and your involvement plays a meaningful role in reaching it.
Once registration opens, you’ll be able to sign up directly through the Covenant House website using the link that will be provided.
Our Community Service Committee has supported the Covenant House of Greater Washington for four years. Throughout these three years, the Community Service Committee has
- Raised $45,000 for homeless youth
- Stuffed bags including toiletries, toilet paper, and bedding for the shelter
- Delivered food and clothes to the shelter
- Deep cleaned their shelters when COVID-19 hit
The Covenant House of Greater Washington's mission is to empower, safeguard, and serve youth experiencing homelessness, disconnection, and exploitation in the Greater Washington region.
