    • Washington, DC Building Energy Performance Standards (BEPS) Assistance. As part of AOBA’s ongoing efforts to help our member buildings succeed with Washington. DC’s Building Energy Performance Standards (BEPS), AOBA provided portfolio-specific outreach to members who have buildings that need to take action to meet the BEPS. This outreach included a portfolio-specific e-mail as well as a supplemental resource. Please contact AOBA staff for portfolio-specific questions.

    • Affordable Housing Retrofit Accelerator (AHRA) Resource. As part of AOBA’s ongoing efforts to help our member buildings succeed
      with Washington. DC’s Building Energy Performance Standards (BEPS), AOBA is providing portfolio-specific outreach to members who have buildings that need to take action to meet the BEPS. This document is further tailored for buildings participating in the Affordable Housing Retrofit Accelerator (AHRA). This outreach included a portfolio-specific e-mail as well as a supplemental resource. Please contact AOBA staff for portfolio-specific questions.

    • Maryland Benchmarking Guide. This guide is tailored toward Prince George's County member buildings and contains information on benchmarking for first-time benchmarkers and expert-level tips for experienced benchmarkers. It can be used for any property getting started with benchmarking, but certain aspects (such as navigating aggregate utility data processes) will be specific to Prince George's County.

    • How to Download Your ENERGY STAR Portfolio Manager Data. Federal discussion around ending or privatizing the ENERGY STAR program has created uncertainty around the potential future of the ENERGY STAR Portfolio Manager tool. While the outcomes of this announcement remain elusive, AOBA recommends that members get in the practice of keeping copies of their Portfolio Manager data on their company networks. This is the most practical and impactful thing members can do today to be prepared for potential disruptions to ENERGY STAR Portfolio Manager.

    • Return to Office Guide for ENERGY STAR Portfolio Manager. As some of your tenants begin engaging in Return to Office (RTO), we are sharing some best practices on managing its impact on your properties' ENERGY STAR Portfolio Manager entries and thus compliance with DC's Building Energy Performance Standards (BEPS). RTO policies may impact the number of occupants in your buildings, your property's energy use, and thus your property's ENERGY STAR rating.
