Additional Information
Transportation: This year, AOBA members will be responsible for their own transportation to/from Richmond to give you the convenience to attend as much of the day as you are able. There are parking garages around the General Assembly building; you can self-park for a fee.
Attire: Business attire is appropriate for the day and our time in the General Assembly Building and Capitol. Be sure to dress warmly and wear comfortable shoes as the day will include much walking, stairs, and even brick/cobblestone surfaces. There is not always a coat rack available at the Capital nor at the General Assembly Building, therefore, we recommend wearing a coat that is easy to carry. There is a tunnel connecting the General Assembly Building and the Capitol, so you should not need to go back outside or re-clear security after your first entry into the General Assembly Building.
Inside the General Assembly Building: You will be asked to walk through a metal detector upon entry; no weapons are allowed. Be mindful of foot traffic when in the hallways; the General Assembly's work happening at a brisk, and often frenetic pace. Always be courteous to everyone; you are representing our entire industry throughout the day.
