Governor Hogan Eases Remaining COVID-19 Restrictions on Public Gatherings and Businesses
Effective Saturday May 15, State restrictions on indoor entertainment venues, conventions and other businesses will be lifted. Restaurants can return to 100% capacity both indoors and outdoors; restrictions on outdoor sports, entertainment and art venues are also being lifted.
The only restriction that Governor Hogan is retaining is the mandate to wear masks inside businesses. That requirement will be lifted when Maryland reaches the federal goal of 70% adults receiving at least one dose of a vaccine.
Local jurisdictions are allowed to reopen/lift mandates at they see fit.
