Eric J. Jones Joins AOBA’s DC Government Affairs Team

Eric J. Jones has joined the Apartment and Office Building Association of Metropolitan Washington as Vice President of Government Affairs, DC Commercial. Eric brings 15 years of experience as a political strategist, and served for more than a decade as the Associate Director of Government Affairs with the Associated Builders & Contractors (ABC) of Metro Washington.

Eric led ABC’s lobbying efforts on behalf of the largest construction trade association in the area, working closely with the executive and legislative branches of the DC government. He was a candidate for an at-large City Council seat in 2014. Eric will focus his work on behalf of AOBA’s members on the office building market, and will work in partnership with Randi K. Marshall, AOBA’s Vice President of Government Affairs, DC - Residential.

A native of the District, Eric holds an undergraduate degree in Business Administration from Morehouse College and a Master’s in Finance from New England College of Business.

We know his contributions will help drive our work to represent the commercial real estate industry as we support our members’ interests in areas ranging from building codes, tax issues, utility regulation, energy and the environment,” said AOBA Executive Vice President Margaret “Peggy” Jeffers.
