In the coming months, AOBA will also be announcing special programming for AOBA members with Virginia interests to interact with policymakers and learn about state and local laws and regulations affecting commercial and multifamily properties.  This will include our popular (and FREE) fire systems training classes as well as our annual landlord/tenant legal seminar and Mayors & Chairs event series.  We will continue to keep you apprised as these opportunities are added to the calendar.

Legislative
Once again, AOBA’s advocacy program has produced meaningful results on behalf of commercial and multifamily property owners and managers that will reduce regulatory burdens and produce a net positive effect for your bottom line.  AOBA’s advocacy team recorded a 100% success rate for the 2019 session of the Virginia General Assembly, advancing a substantial proactive agenda of legislation to maintain Virginia as a hospitable environment for property owners/managers and defeating or amending several measures that would have layered additional administrative and cost burdens on your businesses.
