Maryland: Prince George's County Sheriff Meeting
AOBA will host its annual meeting with the Prince George’s County Sheriff on Wednesday, May 7, 2025, from 10 am to 12 pm at the Sheriff’s Office located at 5303 Chrysler Way, Upper Marlboro, MD 20772.
Sheriff Carr was instrumental to AOBA this session on House Bill 767 – The Tenant Possessions Recovery Act. This bill will require housing providers to give at least 6 days notice of an eviction. The bill takes effect on October 1, 2025. This meeting will give members an opportunity to learn about this new law, meet the Sheriff’s staff and voice concerns.
Additionally, topics may include the process to execute writs, planning evictions, and other topics members would like to suggest. Members are highly encouraged to attend.
