Join Us for Clean-Up Day at James E. Duckworth School

James E. Duckworth School may be in a temporary home while its new school is under construction, but our commitment to supporting the Duckworth community remains as strong as ever!

Our Community Services Committee is organizing a Clean-Up Day at the school’s temporary location, and we would love for you to join us.

For over 20 years, James E. Duckworth School has been a beacon of support for students with disabilities, ages 5–21, across Prince George’s County. As students and staff continue learning and growing in their temporary space, we’re coming together to help make their current home feel welcoming, cared for, and ready for the season.

This Year’s Mission: Make Their Temporary Home Shine!

We’re rolling up our sleeves to refresh and beautify the school’s temporary location. Volunteer projects may include:

• Cleaning and refreshing outdoor areas
• Weeding and caring for garden spaces
• Planting colorful seasonal plants
• Edging, trimming, raking, and beautifying the grounds
• Tackling other projects to help create a welcoming environment for students and staff

• Comfortable gear you don’t mind getting a little messy
