Working with the Fire Prevention Division in the Fairfax County Fire Marshal’s Office, AOBA will host an in-person training on October 15 from 8:30-11:30 AM.
This training is designed for property managers, engineers, and maintenance staff. The training will include an introduction to fire protection systems and their functions as well as an in-depth overview of requirements for inspection, testing, maintenance – and owners'/managers' & contractors’ responsibilities.
Full Agenda:
8:30 - 9:30 AM: Introduction to fire protection systems and their functions (hands-on)
9:30 -11:15 AM: Requirements for inspection, testing, maintenance, including owners/managers & contractors’ responsibility
11:15 - 11:30 AM: Wrap up
After 11:30 AM (optional): Lab remains open for members to explore equipment w/ Fairfax Fire staff
