Working with the Fire Prevention Division in the Fairfax County Fire Marshal’s Office, AOBA will host an in-person training on October 10 from 11 AM to 2 PM.
This training is designed for property managers, engineers, and maintenance staff. The training will include an introduction to fire protection systems and their functions as well as an in-depth overview of requirements for inspection, testing, maintenance – and owners'/managers' & contractors’ responsibilities.
Full Agenda:
11:00 AM -12:00 PM: Introduction to fire protection systems and their functions (hands-on)
12:00 -12:15 PM: Break to get lunch
12:15 -1:45 PM: Requirements for inspection, testing, maintenance, including owners/managers & contractors’ responsibility
1:45 - 2:00 PM: Wrap up
After 2:00 PM (optional): Lab remains open for members to explore equipment w/ Fairfax Fire staff
