Clean-Up Day at James E. Duckworth School
Roll Up Your Sleeves for a Great Cause – Join Us for Clean-Up Day at
James E. Duckworth School!
Our Community Services Committee is organizing a Clean-Up Day at the James E. Duckworth School, and we would love for you to join us.
For over 20 years, this incredible school has been a beacon of support for students with disabilities (ages 5–21) across Prince George's County. Now, it is our turn to give back – and we are making it fun, hands-on, and community-driven!
This Year’s Mission: Beautify and Prepare for the Fall!
We are refreshing the school’s outdoor spaces – and we need your help! As a Clean-Up Day volunteer, you’ll get to:
- Spruce up the nature trail
- Weed and care for Veronica’s garden
- Plant colorful fall plants
- Edge, trim, rake, and beautify the grounds
- And so much more!
Why Join?
It’s more than just yardwork – it’s community, connection, and purpose.
- Meet fellow AOBA members
- Work side-by-side for a worthy cause
- Enjoy a delicious lunch together
- Leave with full hearts and (maybe) dirty hands

Any helpful tools (rakes, shovels, edgers, wheelbarrows, etc.)
What to Wear:
