Professional Bio

Cynthia came to AOBA after working the past four years as a communications and project manager for a local government and public affairs firm. In her new position, Cynthia will manage AOBA’s internal and external communications activities.

Cynthia has also worked with several nonprofit organizations in the region including Latino Student Fund, Capital Concerts, Inc. and CentroNía. She is bilingual in both Spanish and English, has translated press releases for media outlets, and has worked as a Spanish interpreter.

Cynthia Alfaro earned a Bachelor of Arts in Communication with a focus in Public Relations from the University of Maryland, College Park, and recently, her Master of Arts in Integrated Design from the University of Baltimore.
