* Discounted cash flow measurement
* Current lending practice
Kathryn Burgess is responsible for overseeing the property
operations of office, mixed use, and residential space in Washington, D.C. and Northern Virginia. Kathy is very adept in the financial management aspects of our business, and acts as a liaison with our clients’ asset managers, insuring all owner goals and objectives are clearly understood.
While at J Street, Kathy has overseen quite a number of tenant improvement (TI) projects. In addition, she has managed millions in capital improvement projects including parking deck and garage renovations, fire system replacements, roof replacements, and major HVAC renovations. She is J Street’s project manager for Building Engines (BE), our powerful online work order system, working closely with BE to customize the tool for our portfolio. She also oversees procurement and contract management for the portfolio.
Prior to J Street, Kathy was a Property Manager for 3 years at Rim Pacific Management, based in Laguna Hills, CA. She managed more than 400,000 square feet of class A
and B commercial office space. While there, she managed several large capital improvement projects. Additionally, she assisted in due diligence preparation and review for the purchase of seven properties, and for the sale of four properties.
